Hey all,

Im hoping to have my turbo project done by the end of july and i need to start buying bits and pieces of it. Ive been working on a list for a while tell me what you think and an estimate of what it will run me if you have any idea:

- T3/T04E 60 trim turbo- any manifold: maybe JGS, Rev Hard, or F-Max- 72lb injectors (should i just go with 50s?)- Mustang Cobra MAF- 35mm wastegate- GReddy VSPL intercooler- 3" downpipe- GReddy type S bov- oil lines, piping, etc- JWT tuned ECU and cams- Ross pistons- crower rods

I know im missing something. As far as transmission... im still wondering what kind of clutch to go with. Any suggestions?I hope to make 300rwhp at around 15psi, sound reasonable?

I like the 50-trim T04E compressor...otherwise, you're on the right track.

And 50/lb injectors will get you to ~350rwhp as a max, and will not require resistors like the low impedence 72lb'ers will. Something to think about...

I like the ACT street clutch...has held awesome power in the past (+400rwhp and +400rwtq), and no "iffy" stuff from ACT like you see occasionally from SPEC, etc...

Dont forget your boost gauge! and maybe an EGT, and oil pressure gauge too!

You’re forgetting your standalone engine management system. Ditch the MAF go that way of a TEC3. But that's if you like to tune.

72# injectors give poor idle.. as their smallest opening is massive, and they don't react quickly. Think of a 8" woofer's preciseness vs. a 15" subwoofer.Cams aren't necessary for your power levels. 50# injectors would be good for it also. A great tuner I know says Cobra MAF is ****. Don't forget bearings, hot-tanking, boring, decking, honing, and all that other nice machine work. And like Brian said, 50trim is the way a KA wants to work.-Jeff

might as well get a 38mm wastegate. they are the same price as a 35mm, and I don't even know where you can find a 35mm anymore.

This is insane? You're going to spend $1500 on pistons, rods, rings and bearings, but not hone (which is always needed) or bore out (which is sometimes needed)? Or hot-tank the block to clean it? Just stay stock if you don't have time or money to do it right, because if you do it wrong, your rings won't ever seat, you'll scar the sleeves, or worse.-Jeff

Machine work for my engine was 680 bucks, INCLUDING assembly. No offense, but your a fool if you dont do it. That was for boring and honing, polishing the crank, balancing the rotating assembly, decking the block, hot tanking, and reassembly with new bearings.
