themonarch-what was your final decision about the BB system? Are you going to try to optimize the code in vB one more time and if it doesn't work, go to phpBB?

As much as I liked vB, I must say that I am more partial to phpBB, plus the fact that my friend installed some very useful mods.

Anyway, I vote to deal with some code popping up... wouldn't be the first time I have seen mySQL errors being thrown at me, though if the forum was down for a while, I can understand the reason.

I don't know exactly what mods he has installed, there are a lot that expand the managability of the administration panel, some added options... if you want, I can go into the admin panel and take some screenshots for you.... or, I can just wait until he gets on AIM and I can ask him if he can even remember all the mods he installed. I do know that he got them from one of the links from phpBB's website.

Anyway, hope that helps.PS-If you want to check it out, you can see some of the mods from a Registered user level if you just go to the forums, http://www.speed-society.com If you have used phpBB, the mods should be pretty easy to notice.

There isnt many on at those hours. I've stayed up til like 5am before and not seen many on the boards. hehe I would shut them down, seems be easier than to have them running. :)

Good luck for the night

I vote for closing it down competely. I'm with Mike09 in that I would rather work on it until it was perfect and then when it comes back up... WHAM!! This mega-awesome site will blow people away! :D
