I just bought a 1988 300ZX Turbo that has been sitting since 2002. It's very clean second owner. The fuel tank was rusted through and pump and sending unit was trashed. I replaced the tank and rubber lines, pump and sending unit. The car will turn over and I have fuel going through the system coming out the return line. The car will not fire, looking for help on what to look at next.

If you can do a fuel pressure check, ideally you need I think 30-40 psi. Ensure you have a good spark going into your plugs. If that fails, do a compression test and get back with the results.

Do as Taleek says grounding a connected plug to ground as you turn it over looking for spark, and also check your fuel filter for residue if not replaced. Maybe a fuseable link check as well?
Vacuum could be a problem also so check all vacuum hoses, sorry I can't think of more since my specialty is more the Z32...Good Luck!

Congrats. On cold starts it probably has a ton of chemical and natural buildup all throughout the air passages which should get slightly better with time. The sensors being old and likely destroyed or on the verge may have something to do with it not wanting to start cold.
