I recently bought a set of new Works and was going to pick up a set of center caps too, but they are FUGLY! I am going to have a billet aluminum set made up with a much lower key design.

Anybody want to help me brain storm something? I would like to keep it fairly minimalistic because that seems to be the theme for the wheel itself. I was envisioning a flat center cap powder coated matte silver to match, but what else have you seen/done to center caps that looked good?

haha sorry adrian. A bronzish silver colored cap with light silver center piece is not an ideal match to a matte silver wheel.

What do you think of something like this Jeep SRT-8 center cap except it says "Work" or "Nissan" engraved in the center?

Sure. Why not? It's clean. Go for it.

How how does something like that cost? I'm sure it's not much, but after hemorraging the cash to buy some Works, I'd be going with a nice low cost solution... like oem caps.

Not sure exactly, but I was given an estimate of $40 each. Who knows what the final product will cost though.

heh obviously you've never dealt with a CNC mill before. Each cap will have to be milled from a hockey puck sized piece of material. That takes some effort especially if they have to flip the piece in the machine and then machine the bottom side, which they will have to do in this case.

I don't think $40 per cap is that much especially since the retail price on the Work caps is about $30/wheel and they're ghey.

You're right and I probably never will as long as there are inexpensive alternatives around.

You've got a good idea. Go for it. It's just not something I'd pay that kind of money for.
