I'd recommend somthing like this. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/...ce=18 $166 per tire is about the cheapest I saw for a 255/35/18.

Finding a cheap performance tire in that size will be hard. Hell, my Azenis RT-215 in 205/50/15 were about $90 each when I bought them almost 2 years ago...

just be very careful with dunlop high performance tires. if you're not going to be driving in the rain EVER, get em, the grip is excellent. but if it's your daily, im just warning you that they are the worst tires i have ever run in the wet. when i got into my accident i slid about 35-45 feet without catching grip while downshifting to try and catch grip in the rain. usually downshifting will work if you have enough time. i had about 15 seconds to work with, and didn't catch grip once. and i didn't slow down once either.

I have Bridgestone Potenza RE750s on my 240 and they kick ***. I'll only comment on the treadwear. It tends to go kinda fast. Everything else about it is awesome. I'd like to try a BFG g-force T/A KDW as my next tire.

You can get a Kumho ECSTA for ~160 in a 245/40 but if you're on a budget, I'd settle for 225/40/18. The 225s are a bit more affordable

if thats the same size wheel all around i would go 235/40/18 or 245/40/18 it will give it that stretch look on the tire since its a 9.5 inch wide rim

Get the first ones. Summer tires and snow tires are the only tires anyone really needs. All season is virtually useless.

you will definitely appreciate the summer tires over the all season ones

Bah, 240SXs don't need All Seasons. I'd get the first ones also. Those are awesome prices too.

A 9.5 with a +12 offset will be about 8mm farther away than stock from the shock body so you shouldn't need a spacer. However, those tires (245) might need some negative camber to tuck into the fenderwell during compression and maybe a nifty fender roll.

This page is quite useful for these things. http://gs.tolan-hoechst.com/tirecalc.htm

You might want to check with Chris(nismofly) or Dean(nead240sx). They're the suspension egg heads...I just drive the damn things.

depends what type of driving you will be doing. well basically if you're going to street or do some heavy driving. heavy meaning like autox/track/circuit etc OR drift.

best bang for buck max summer tires hands down: kumho mx, rt215/615, hankook z212. beware max summer tires last half as long or less.

street tires: falken ziex, yokohama avid 4 and a step up... better street tires: yoko es100, falken st115, dunlop fm901

if you're a baller potenza s03, michelin pilot ps2, goodyear gsd3, advan ad07

i'd run 255/40/17 em since you're flushing i assume possibly 235 or 245 in front if you mind rubbing.

i personally run potenza s03 and its worth the money only if you really know what you're doing. i wouldn't recommend it for noobs. fm901s aren't good but you get what you pay for i would say es100 and st115 are trash also but they serve their purpose.

The new Kumho SPT's are suppose to be pretty good tires. I believe they are replacing the 711/712's, well one of them not sure which one. The tread compound is pretty hard so they'll last a bit longer than most lower profile tires. I plan on getting them, because honestly, I don't have the cash to be burning off 18in tires every few months..
