My friend is willing to trade his work cr-kai wheels for my base 17'' wheels, plus some money.

Tire dimensions as far as I know are 255/35/18

I did a test fit, what do you think?

(nvm the 4x4 gap)

staggered or non-staggered?

What are the offsets and sizes?

Need to take those into account as well.

Plus 255/35/18 for rear is weak sauce.

The wheels look nice, but need more info on the wheels.

18x9.5 all-around? Then it's non-staggered.

The offset for front looks decent, but +30 is weak for the rear.

PLUS the currently tire sizes WON'T work with your Z. You need to replace those.

245/40/18 F

275/40/18 R

The rear tire are about 1.5" smaller than oem stock, that's why it makes your Z looks like a 4x4

Soup, your wisdom is great but you're a fool for not jumping all over that before he even finished proposing the idea to you. Just my two cents.

Oh, good to know..see i fail at wheel tech, probably explains why i never bothered to get wheels in the first place.

Yeah, they look much better in person, much more meatier in rear than the 235s

Just needs lowering springs, maybe coilovers. _________________________What happened to the ///M3?

He wants your wheels and tires plus $1400? I say talk him down on the cash or no deal. You can get those wheels brand new for about $430 a piece at the most. Shop around and you can probably find them for less. Do the math. At $1400 you're getting a used set of rims and tires and giving away your rims and tires for about $300.

oops. didn't see that he wants $1400 + your wheels.

Then it's not a good deal. Those tires are basically useless, so you need to sell them. New tires will run you around $700-1000.

I'd pay $1K for the wheels/tires.

Beat me to it.

I did some web shopping and math last night but didn't post (I was on my phone) what Chief just did. You're getting a used wheel that someone else isn't happy with, with suspect offset, at not much of a discount.

It's also cast aluminium, not forged - at the price he's asking that would be a deal breaker for me. But that's just me...I'm super-selective. I'm looking for a forged wheel with decent offset in my OEM size (so I can use them in stock class in AutoX).

sorry, too much money for what they are...plus the tires are worthless.

You need a larger sidewall tire to fit correctly on your car. 275/40/18 & 245/45/18 would be the tires you need. (you could go a little smaller on aspect or tire width if you choose for either)

Yeah bout that, he actually didn't want my wheels. Apparently it was just a temporary thought, price is still $1400.

That size sounds about right, and i agree the sidewalls aren't meaty enough.

He's getting rid of the wheels in order to get stitches (wheels). Both tires and wheels have less about 500 miles on them.
