Are you going for the stretched look? 235mm = 9.25" and on a 10" rim that's stretching....

235 will stretch on both. 255 will be square on the 9"

255 equates to a tad over 10", so, it would technically work for the 10" wheel. Personally I'd start at 275 for the rear.

So what should I start with? 245 for the front? 275 for the rear? I really don't want any stretching since I live in Brooklyn and the streets here are horrible and I'm trying to protect the rims from damage

Yeah 255mm is about 10", but I'm sure you know wheel width is measured bead to bead, and not to the actual flange/rim of the wheel. That extra 1" in tread and section width could easily fill up that wheel for a square tire fitment. 275 is a good width for a 10" wheel though.
