I have documented the mods i have done so far, with Lauren's help. So far I've prepped and painted the grill/spoiler, and installed 'em along with my intake. Here are the pics [taken by Lauren, who is also posting this and writing it as if it's actually Ronnie lol] and yes i'm/we're wearing very insufficient masks!:

Prepping the parts

Applying primer

Applying paint

Mixing the clear coat (i forgot to get a pic mixing the paint)

Applying clear coat

The finished product

The inspector...owner of the body shop [Lauren's dad...the future father-in-law ]

End result

And the Fujita intake

Japanparts/Bulletproof 495$+ shipping + 12 weeks wait time It comes in one of two ways, no finish OR painted. I do NOT recommend buying it pre-painted as it will never match your car, get it done professionally. I went ahead and put some big cohones on and gave it a shot myself. I was lucky enough to do it under supervised conditions at my girls dad's shop. If I had known what a pain in the BUTT it is to remove the stock grill I would have REALLY thought it over though.

Ron

Theres one on G35driver, except that the guy states you need an 8MM socket, but you don't(wasted my money on one). I also found out that there are two long prongs that hold the piece in place after you remove all the nuts(drop me wacky finding it). The hardest part was getting my hands under there to get the black plastic clips out, its VERY VERY cramped. I destroyed two nails and a lot of ego until I got a pair of needle nose pliers to get the clips off. The two white clips were easy, you just need a flat head to open them and remove the cable.

I will be doing a write up on how to do the intake though... I'm just searching for the time, the pics are online + labeled just need my words in

Yup not too bad for first crack at it eh? This has been the first time for doing any/all car work, from the prep/paint to the install. It's really not hard just got to have some confidence and common sense and your able to follow instructions through. If you have a problem just take a step back and try to figure it out instead of panicking or getting frustrated.
