Words cannot describe my happiness..after searching for over 2 years for a 97-98 240SX I finally found one, and its so unbelievably awesome. It is EXTREMELY rare, I'm still in shock I actually own this now. It is a dark green SE with perfect beige leather interior, a $500 xplod/pioneer sound system, power sunroof, MANUAL transmission, power everything, white gauges, and all the standard SE stuff with 65K on the engine. I bought it from a really sweet girl in miami that just graduated from UF for $8700! I'm so happy...just had to tell some people:) . Sorry I don't have pics, but its stock right now anyway, except for the new shiftknob I put on it today:ylsuper :). She would tell me about how guys followed her around asking her to buy it. I'd just be like...thats strange...hahah. Ah well, thanks for reading, just had to let somebody know. laterz!

i got my emerald green 98 SE from a nearby mitsubishi dealership for around 9500, sounds exactly the same as yours except no leather and 40k on it. It turns out the previous owner was A 60 YR OLD MAN who took immaculate care of it. i thought 'green isn't my color but what the hell?' of course i love it now, not sure if i want to do anything to it though.

awesome, I still want to paint mine white sometime. What really helps is that the engine bay and under-trunk aren't painted, they're black underneath instead of dark green. I wouldn't paint the car if they were the color of the car, who wants a white car with a green engine bay..not me!:pface

Thanks, I don't know if you can notice but the tint is HORRIBLE on the back, the girl tried to take it off herself and now its hideous. Is there a way to get this off with some type of solution? Some parts have both layers of tint and some just have the clear part which is a pain in the *** to remove. If anyone knows anything about tint removal please help? Thanks.

OK man, I love your car. BUT, you gotta shave those front turn signals!! They are almost bigger than the headlights!! I shaved the turns on my car, it really cleans up the front!Anyway, I love that year of 240SX, those headlights are wicked. As for the tint, if you live somewhere hot, or you get alot of sun, you can use a piece of black trash bag, use soap water and stick that black trash bag on the outside of your back window using soap solution from a spray bottle. Then, make sure the sun is beating down on it, let it sit a few hours in direct sun, this will superheat the window tint so you can pull off any full pieces of tint. Then, when that is done, use fine gauge steel wool and acetone to remove the adhesive. 2 things not to do! DONT get the acetone on your interior parts, and DONT scrub hard on the defroster lines with the steel wool. The steel wool is safe enough to remove adhesive from the defroster lines, but don't scrub harder than you have to. Definitely DO NOT use a razor blade near your defroster lines. I have seen too many people say "***** it, I dont care" and they just go in and trash the defroster lines, AND it still takes them too long.

Good Luck!!

wow, fred why would you post your number on here? Yeah, that's an interesting fact about the car. It's amazing that you guys have found your car in such short time, I've been looking for a while, and it's hard as hell to find an s14, or an s13 in good condition that doesn't have 160k miles, or is auto.

thanks for the compliments guys. Yeah well i'm in ft. myers and theres about 5 240s at a time within a 300 miles radius of here, theres like none to choose from. Also usually when you call its already sold cause everyone wants one so bad. I looked today and only 3655 97s were made and like ~2500 98s were made. thats crazy..but yea 2 years searching included time to sell my old accord from my ricer days, and go through a first year of college so..had some obstacles to overcome before i actually bought it.

legend, what do you mean shave the turn signals? you have a pic?

ther always NICO stuff going on thats easier done over phone than by email.

It takes 4ever to fix log-in problems via email, but easier over phone.
