This has been discussed many times but I only discovered it yesterday and after seraching around found many threads on it... So just wanted to let everyone know.

The little nipple underneath the throttle body is for charcoal canister. DO NOT hook up your BOV to this port as your BOV will not work. I hooked up a boost gauge to it to see what kind of reading I will get and you only get a reading off that port if you are on the throttle. If you are off the throttle my boost gauge just reads 0. Considering that fact, I think you can use that port for wastegate and boost gauge as it WILL see boost readings but DO NOT hook up your BOV to it.

I had my BOV hooked up over there and no wonder my turbo kept blowing out on me... I just upgraded to GT2871R and I definitely do not want to blow that one. My BOV is working now since I've placed it at the right port.

What I thought was a BOV sound all along was a compressor surge noise... I was complaining my RFL BOV wasn't loud enough lol... what a dumbarse I've been...

I have an inline vacuum block that makes things much easier and makes things look cleaner too.

Do you want to share with us on how you hooked that up... perhaps pics?

now that you mention your BOV wasnt working, i just did the swap myself not too long ago, and the stock bov is still in place. however, when i let off the throttle, instead of just a single "whoosh" bov sound, its more fluttery and sounds like its opening and closing a few times. im assuming thats the comrpessor surge sound? ive only driven the car like 4 times since ive done it so its something i would like to fix asap.

Heres a the only pic I have you car see it behind my valve cover. I have a new one I'm installing this week that looks better and I can take some better pics. It basically goes inline from the intake manifold to the brake booster.

Yea.. thats compressor surge sounds.. poot poot poot... My BOV goes off if im boosting atleast 2 psi or so maybe a bit more.

I see the vaccum block.. Probably makes engine bay alot cleaner without vac lines going all over the place. Thats cool.

Why isnt your IACV hooked up by the way...

Actually the stock Bypass Valve can make the noise if your running higher boost.

im running stock boost and instead of getting one chirp when blowing off, it sounds like its doing it 3 times really quickly, but this is only sometimes. im gonna put in a boost gauge in the next few days, ill see what im boosting at exactly when it happens.
