got my megasquirt 2, wiring harness, stimulator, and 4 bar map sensor today! i know its kind of a cheap way out, but im really looking forward to building it from scratch. i also didnt have any money (blew all it on a skiing trip to big sky montana over christmas). also, my friend and i split a zeitronix wideband so i will be able to tune it properly. ill send you some updates when the time comes, but i wont be able to work on it for another few weekends. i would post pictures, but i dont own a camera (sad, i know). ill post some up when i actually get to working on it. thats about it!

p.s. my computer is absolutely shot, so ill be on when i can but it takes literally 5 minutes to load the forum. ill wipe it and re-load windows this weekend so hopefully ill be back in action.

Good lord man, a 4 bar map?!?!?! What kinda turbo action are you planning later on down the road? I had a 3 bar that I removed and downgraded to a 2 bar for a little better resolution. IIRC a 3 bar is good to like 30psi, right? What is the 4 bar rated to?

Google says: 4 bar = 58.0150951 pounds per square inch

Granted you gotta subtract one bar.. cause thats absolute, not relative to atmosphere, and you gotta cover vacuum.. so roughly 3 bar = 43.5113213 pounds per square inch of BOOST

well, it was that or use the 2.5bar that came with it. with vacuum thats only about 21lbs of boost, which is right at what i plan on running. i didnt want to top it out, so i got the 4 bar. the 4 bar sensor also has barometric pressure correction, which is a plus. DIY autotune rated it for ~36lbs i think, which is quite stout.

dont know what ive got in store down the road. if i can wrangle up a good job when i graduate my car will be sick. im just going to plan on the magic 300-320 horsies right now (at the crank), as i think that will be sufficient to blow the doors off most anything.

Tim, that should make for a hellacious ride. You've only got another 8 years till you graduate, right?

Rico, sorry about the relationship falling though. I'm sure this doesn't help, but at least you didn't have this happen AFTER you got married....

yeah, i dont think one can get the proper college experience in any less than 5 full years. since im a bum and refuse to take classes during the summer, count me in for the 5.5 year plan. BUT! when i graduate (some day) i plan to have one "hellacious ride" as you say.

ok, completely off the subject, but does anyone know where to get a stainless clutch line that wont cost me a left nut? i looked around but the cheapest i found was like, 50 bucks. its a little ridiculous for a 8" hose. i would make one myself but i dont have a car, or a place around here that sells the materials. mine went out on me while i was at the grocery store. made it home though (yeah, i rule).

found a plethora (sp?) of them on ebay at 25$ a pop. cant argue with the price and since i know i can make them myself, ill trust some shady individual in their garage. only problen is that itll take a while for paypal to clear the payment, so if anyone knows where to get them with a credit card please god let me know.
