I just paid for my 97 240sx with 68,000 miles on it. It's silver moss colored with abs/lsd, factory sideskirts, projector lights, 5sp, moonroof, etc etc., but havn't had time to pick it up yet. god i can't wait till this weekend! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Do all the 95+ have 6.5" speaker housings? Which speaker combos and head unit combos sound the best in the 240sx? I already know about mb quart, dynaudio, focal, rainbow etc etc etc. I want to hear it from people who actually had experience with sound systems in 240sx or have a sound system in their car.

Good luck with the car man, sounds really nice, I'd kill for that front end, I got the "round eyes".

I have Sony Xplod speakers and an Alpine head unit. I got "oversized" speakers for the front, and 6.5s for the rear, the front ones are 17cm instead of 16 (6.5in). I like the sound, its real crisp and clean, and I got the head unit and four speakers for 230, all on clearance, brand new. The "oversized" speakers i threw in the front and they bolted up fine, I just took out a plastic spacer thing.

I'm very jealous.

and stop asking him about a CA/SE/KA+T, he just got the car and an engine swap is never first on the list for someone buying a 97!

Why would you replace the hood?

$600 for a carbon fiber hood is expensive since the car is stock and will not even make a noticeable difference in the 1/4 mile.

I could think of better ways to spend the money.

So just paint it. It's cheaper and more practical.

New Car! Thats awesome. I actually just got my red '95 240 last week. This car is so cool. It is such a big change from my 1990 MB 190E (aka. "the tank"). And the manu transmission with the Front engine RWD just makes it perfect.

Have fun with your new ride. I know that I am having the time of my life with this car!

I'll eventually go turbo on the ka engine, but for now its going to be somewhat stock except for those n1 duals, electric fans, and lightened pulley.

and yes, you'll see lots and lots and lots of pics of my car soon, probably with detailed installs.

Yup, its definitely called Silver Moss and that color is only available in the 97/98's.

The code for that color is KR5 if anyone ever wants to know :)
