So yesterday I want to work and all my managers said "We need to have a talk." When you hear that it not usaly good. So we all sit down and start by telling me some bs, and the next thing I hear is that I'm getting a 2 dollar an hour raise. Woot i didnt even have to ask for it. Also last year I got a 2 dollar an hour raise. . Man I was so happy. So I have only been out of school for a year and all ready I'v gone up 4 dollars an hour in pay. But Im totly deserveing of this, any time they ask me to come in on my day off I do, any time they need me to work a dubble I do. So the cliff notes are Hard work pays off in the end.
PS I realy like my job even when I was makeing 9 bucks an hour.
PPS if any of you guys even want to in a restraunt work for Houston's. They realy know how to take care of there good employes.

i'm 16 and i've worked in a restaurant for almost a year, and so far i've gotten 2 $.25 raises, talk about bull ****, and i do stay late, come in when they need me, and i know more **** about that place than half the manager. Tommorow i'm going in at 1 instead of 5, and what do i get for all my hard work, a lousy $.25 rasie.
LOL! $9 for me at Stop & Shop in the deli. Hell I gotta wait 6 months till I get a raise. Its either gonna be $.10 or $.25. I cant remember which union plan Im under since they changed it right around the time I got hired. Not only does the raise suck, but the slackers at work get the raise too. BS man! I hate that. I say those who bust their asses(me and a few others) and come in early and/or stay late or on days off should get higher than a damn. $.10 or $.25 raise. Not ****in fair at all.

if theres a trader joes(grocery store) around you, go work there. they treat their good employees really well. my lowest raise was $.50,raise is once every 3 months. i now make $14.25 working at a grocery store part time and going to school fulltime. benefit is good and they have absence reserve. if theres a trader joes around and you need a job, i say go for it.
