AZQ45 had a small RS-8 Bazooka in his trunk and it played havoc with his CD changer...

I believe it.

You could put your CD changer in the glove box, or somewhere else inconspicuous.

I have 2 12"s in my trunk along with the 10 CD Changer and I never have any problems BUT I go for sound quality and don't like the rattling bass in my car. None of that crap for me. Plus my amps rock. Alpine 4-Channel and a Rockford Fosgate Punch 45

I think 400 per. My Rockford powers ONLY my subs. The Alpine is for the speakers.

I have a MTX Road Thunder amp pushing out 600 watts RMS to a 12" Infinity Perfect in a 1 cubic foot box.

But like Nick, I'm going for sound quality, so I just have it there to add to the rest of the music, not to drown it out.

(starts up way back machine...) Back when I had my 89 CRX, I had a pr of 12's in a box that fit over top of my Sony DiscJockey changer. I had a RF Punch 150 at one time and a RF Power 300 at others and it never skipped. Oddly enough when I went to a single disc indash player, it would skip on occasion, but I think it had more to do with angle than bass. I also think a changer mount horizontally is less likely to skip than one mounted vertically. Just 1 man opinion.

not to change the subject TOO much, but for those of you with amps in the trunk of your 1st gen q45, where and how did you mount them? i'm getting ready to tackle this, and so far i'm thinking far right side--there's a little cavity there that i imagine i could fashion some kind of bracket to which to mount an amp. has anybody done this and if so, any words of advice/wisdom to pass along? thanks.

hrmm i wasn't planning on mounting the amp just cuz the box i'm getting has enough room for the amp to lie flat nd get stuck btwn then wall of the box and my trunk so it won't go any where....either that or imma let it fly around my trunkk :-P
