Well, I got my S14a 4 days ago. This thing is SWEET! Nice lines, great front! Definately a head turner. It's got a few dings and scratches on it, but it's still a gorgeous car!
They gave me a bumper to bumper warranty on it, for 24,000 miles *that'll be gone in 8 months at the rate I'm driving for work*
But MY GOD!!! I've already got a shopping list of everything I need for the car.
SR20DET (S15 natch)Conversion from Auto *icky* to 6 speed manual *yummy*New intake, headers, Coffee Can Exhaust *I'm thinking 5Zigen*Tien Coilovers17-18" silver 5 spoke rims.Yokohama low profile directional tires.Replace all the glass with factory tinted windows.MP3 Harddrive system with Infinity Perfect speakers all around.Replace all gauges with chinese character ones *I'm 1/2 Chinese can ya blame me?*Momo Steering wheel, Shift Knob and PedalsSparco or Recaro seats with 4 point restraint systems.PIAA Ultra White lightsClear Corner markers and Tail lights *They swap the monofilament bulbs for high intensity LED clusters*Gauge Pods on the window arms.DVD GPS system.Veilside Body Kit.and a Carbon Fiber hood *need to find one with a reverse vent*
Then, painted Pearl black.Possibly Re-do the interior with Leather.And of course the JDM tags.
Wondering if there's anything I'm missing...This is a 2 year project. But at the end of it all....a car worth putting in the pages of a magazine.

someone used to drive a honda....you can smell them a mile away....but he's excited, and probaly hasn't researched much yet and is just geting ahead of himself....
soon enough he'll learn that the S15 engine isn't worth what's is being asked for it, the veilside kit will just make it look like every other civic with a body kit, oh and there are no "clear tails" for the 240.....
i'll bet he can tell me when the F&F2 comes out though....

Actually he is referring to the LED conversion tails made by ClearCorners. They consist of a clear lense, and the lights are replaced with LED clusters. They are NOT street legal.... and cops WILL notice. They are sold for show purposes only, and they also have wig-wag type wiring kits that do cool little light tricks for all of your HIN shows! :rolleyes

Hmm, racing vans, anyone ever thought about doing a custom SR20DET install on a Quest? hehe, let the flaming begin. bring it punks. anyway, welcome to the boards Kris, and the reason people say the S13 is the better of the motors, is 1) they are easier and cheaper to get ahold of, and 2) that if you plan on doing major upgrades, the valve system on the S13 is better for upping the turbo. but if you just want a show car, then swap a S15 motor cause it will look better, and is less common, but they'll run you around $5K and the upgrade parts arent as easy to come by. again, welcome and have fun, and nice job on dealing with Lost_To_A_K_CAR's comments.

When you figure in purchase price and installation, it just makes no sense. For $3000 you could SERIOUSLY upgrade an s13 or s14 SR to be puttig out twice the HP of the s15.

It is rumored to be weak. More gears packed into the same space. They have proven that the stock s15 6 speed can handle 425+ HP with a good driver..... so it's really not an issue unless you are running SERIOUS numbers.
