I've spent the last 2 days replacing my timing chain, guides, tensioner, and gears, and I'm finally done!!!

It really did take a LONG time considering I don't have every tool you'd ever want, and considering how greasy everything was. We went through a roll of paper towels.

I am very satisfied though. My idle is now fixed, and it's soo smooth. It doesn't run rich anymore, so there's regained power. And, finally, there's no more rattle!!

I was mostly happy when I got everything together and it started right up!! This seems to be pretty rare for most other people. But, it started up, and there seems to be no leaks, so I'm good to go.

You guys shouldn't be intimidated to perform this task yourselves. Just find a garage with a lot of space and places to organize your parts. And prepare to get dirty!

i spent around 150 bucks, because i replaced a bunch of other little stuff too. You can get away with just spending 30-40 bucks for the guides and tensioner if you wanted. But I went ahead and replaced everything. I don't want to have problems in another 15k miles.
