wow after an exhausting 1800 mile trip i fianlly got my engine home. my friend and i left friday at 11 am and returned sunday at 12 am. i'm so happy. on the way home i stopped at my friends new shop and placed my order for hks 272 cams cam gears and grex 1.6mm headgasket. the motor is already done(blown headgasket thats why i am ordering a grex) and it came with a haltech e6k. i could ask for a better set up. just waiting on teh hks manifold and turbo then it should be complete. oh yeah if anyone knows where there is a clean s13 coupe please let me know because this stuff doesnt do me any good without a shell.

Haha! You bought the engine, and performance parts, without the car?Well I guess if youre getting a good price on it, makes sense to buy it while you can. Check out our buy and sell forum. There should be some coupes for sale there I think....

Might also help to tell everyone where you're from, so they know which cars to refer to you.Good luck on the search, congrats on the engine!

That's what I should do. Maybe I would go ahead and break down and by the car if I had the parts/engine laying around.

hey guys, i am switching to the s13 for a few reasons. i've owned my mr2 for 4 years and kinda of sick of it actually. it was time for a change. i was extremely bored with the mr2. it just wasnt the same car as when i first bought it. also i want to make good reliable horse power. the mr2 imo sucks *** for that. the stock ecu has teh timing so advanced under some points the its nearly impossible not to knock. unless you go full ems your never gonna make good reliabel horse power. lastly i drove a friends 240sx coupe and it was alot of fun. even with that doggy ka engine i could tll this car has serious potential.

hey giant killer, beatdownvictim from revscene here (oh **** my cover's blown) hehehehe i see you ventured your way over here. CA18DET > silvia (revscene guy) ;) glad to see you in the ca18det forum! Didja ever get a ride from that silvia guy? cuz if you did, his car's got nothing on the DOULIK built CA18DET.

hey man....wasup...yah..looking into the ca18det a bit more....but i gotta sell my 2 first..an IMO i love the mr2...it can still spank any "H" or "A" and its 15 years old! But yes...it's time for a change too...it would be nice to have a back seat for...well..you know:pface ...but i am still debating over the ca18det or sr20det...it's such a hard choice and the only thing holding me back on the ca is it's age....

giantkiller: age doesnt make it a bad thing, i assure you the CA18DET is a stout motor. Our shop's CA18DET is gettin some new toys put on it. If you're in vancouver and you see an UGLY and loud grey 240sx with faded paint and a spooling sound, you'll know who's car it is

Vancouver BC is where i'm at. Dou Lik Industries is the shop i'm talkin bout. Dont got a site up yet, but it'll be up some time soon. We need some respectable nissan tuners up here in the pacific northwest.

werd. so far the only place I've actually checked out is hyperrev here in the lower vancouver. They've got two sr20 swaps that I've seen, both of which are a little rough but DAMN fast. Out of curiousity do you guys import det clips?

BUMP

great news i just redid a ground wire on my Ign chip, put in some new plugs,(some cheap bosch platiumn 1.99) and cranked it over an it started up an ran for like 20sec an died, i was like what omfg it started, thinking it didnt really start i hit the key again an it went varoom an stayed running i gave it some gas is kinda sputtered but it revs an it stays idling, so im so happy right now ive had this thing like a week an half an i got it to run and it sat at a shop for like a month n they couldnt figure it out.. im so proud, now i just got to get some intercooler piping an other odds n ends an put it all togther right an take it around the block once its going strong an i clean her up an fix the oil leaking from the turbo return line, ill be swaping it into my 90 240sx.....

I have an extra one, but it's an EM2 upgraded to an EM3 in which I had to pay extra for. I had originally had it made for my built CA18DET, but decided to sell it to a friend with 4Agze engine who deposited $500.00 and borrowed $210 of it back (the rest is history). I'll let it go for $900 firm........ let me know.
