I have a 2000 max and I love it. It however came with wood grain trim. Not my choice but it was used and it came with it. Now my problem is that some places are starting to come off, which is unsightly. I want to remove it for the preferred gun metal trim. Any thoughts on how to remove the old stuff sucessfully without ruining my dash board?

By the way my name is Chris and I'm new, and very pleased to be a part of this community.Help please

Is this aftermarket or factory? If aftermarket, you can just pull it off and fight to get the glue off. Of course, you can always go to a salvage yard and grab another set.

Welcome to NICO!

As audtatious said, just pul it off. If you run into any stubborn pieces, I'd try using a hair drier to heat up the adhesive. You can use some 3M Adhesive Remover to clean up the factory trim pieces once you're done.

I have an se and I believe it is aftermarket work, but i'm so scared that removing it may tear surface off.

Eveything it is affixed to is plastic (in the SE). It shouldn't hurt anything as long as you don't use high heat or some caustic substance to remove the glue.

Precisely what Matt said. May want to wait for a warm, sunny day and leave your car outside for awhile in conjunction with using a hair dryer to heat the glue under the trim up prior to removal.
