I recently installed the bird eye maple wood kit from ebay. The kit cames with alot of pieces that i didn't even bother putting in. The kits was real nice and the quality was definitly better than some of the other products I saw on the net, even the match was pretty darn close. Take a look and judge for yourself. I reccomend you use the vendors swatch program if you dont have bird eye. If you do you can see for yourseld that the match is pretty good.http://inlinethumb02.webshots....5.jpg

Nice!!

I'd also check out Jason Burtman's site: http://www.burtmanindustries.com for some possibilities.

You can contact the seller at [email protected], I believe the sellers store on ebay goes by "Dash-trim Exposure". I paid $145 and had so many piece's I didn't even install them. Make sure you take your time and try to heat up the pieces with a hair dryer becouse once the pieces are down they are Down!

It's called Bird's eye maple. If you email the seller he can mail you out a small piece so you can match it up prior to purchase. It's not the same but everybody that has seen mine so far can't tell the difference.

I also ordered my wood kit from ebay. I have the same color wood as all of you. Mine was also called medium burlwood. I was happy with the turnout.

I am new to the forum; I just purchased my 2003 M45 three months ago.

That cool...McHurdles

When I emailed they guy for an sample he told me that he thinks it is platinum Burlwood, which does not sound right.

Also he seemed to think that Birdseye maple is a pattern name not a color name.

Also some of the names u guys gave is not in his color choices:

of these, i would go with the Carelian burlwood

I guess i will have him send me the:

Medium BurlwoodPlatinum BurlwoodCarelian Burlwood

and i will figure out what works best.

So are these decals that you just stick on?

It looks kind of like that. A little bit of heat and that adhesive gets a little pliable and then you end up with crooked wood or rolled edges.

I thought that these kits were actual plastic pieces that you replace the factory ones with?

I was also nervouse about the quality since they were adhesive but the kit I purchased probably won't get pliable with crooked wood or rolled edges. This is pretty heavy duty stuff and it's not going anywhere once down.

Thats good to know. Keep us posted on how it's holding up this summer.

Does anyone know of any kits that swap out the actual parts?
