The driver side wood trim piece on my 07 M35x needs to be replaced. Anyone know if I can get an individual piece? All I can find so far is the whole kit.

I'd also consider a stick on material that matches. That's what's on that door right now, but it's not a match... Bought it that way.

find an auto wrecker that carries infiniti M35's then browse their inventory and just help yourself. They might ask for a couple of bucks for the part.

Not to sound fasecious or argumentative, but have you personally found this successful? If so, please direct me to the places you've been. Every wrecker I've been to simply said they don't sell to the public, or have the same prices you'd find on ebay or slightly below dealer price.

http://www.car-parts.com (from my experience, tends to be out of date when you call bout a piece it's already been sold).

Also, TDot, since you're in NY state...Post Brothers in Coxsackie, NY (may be Catskill, NY - near me up here in Albany) is a U-Pull-It type place. You take the part off, bring it to their desk, and they tell you how much they want for it. Lots of cars...but I've honestly never seen an M35 at ANY junk yard.

Have you checked with your dealer? I was having problems with my wood piece on the passenger door and they replaced all of them on all four doors. They indicated it was a know issue and for some reason I think there was a service bulletin on it and some type of warranty extension. The new wood pieces are slightly darker than the pieces on the dash, but over time it is not noticeable.

I found this in the Service Bulletin list:
Interior - Door Accent Garnish Replacement
Classification: BT09-077D
Reference: ITB10-011D
Date: July 25, 2011
DOOR ACCENT GARNISH REPLACEMENT - NON ALUMINUM
The Parts Information in this bulletin for M35/45 has been corrected. Please discard previous versions of this bulletin.
APPLIED VEHICLES:
2006 - 2010 M35/45 (Y50)
2009 FX35/50 (S51)
2008 - 2009 EX35 (J50)
2007 - 2008 G35 Sedan (V36)
2009 G37 Sedan (V36)
2008 - 2009 G37 Coupe (CV36)
2009 G37 Convertible (HV36)

IF YOU CONFIRM
An accent garnish on a front or rear door panel (door finisher) needs to be replaced for any reason
and
It is not an aluminum type garnish.

ACTION

Replace the accent garnish on all door panels:

^ For 2 door vehicles replace garnish on both doors.

^ For 4 door vehicles replace garnish on all 4 doors.

^ Use a kit listed in the Parts Information of this bulletin.

^ Refer to the Service Manual as needed for door panel removal and installation.
NOTE:
^ Do not replace an entire door panel (finisher) when replacing only the accent garnish will solve the incident should one occur.

Thank you for the replies everyone. I've left a message with our local Infiniti dealer and will wait for a call back. Hopefully it's covered. Otherwise, I'll be looking for an online source as these are not the most common cars here, so I'm thinking it would be nearly impossible to find a parts car in a yard.

Just saw this:

doesn't seem too pricey, may want to jump on it in case your dealer flakes out on you...

good luck

no luck at the dealer... I don't want to invest much in this. Has anyone had any luck with a vinyl replacement? That's how I bought the vehicle, but the decal that's on there now doesn't match the original wood colour.

I did a quick google and found the following:

http://www.standardautowreckers.com/buy ... online.htm

They list the entire door for $400 but if you visit I'll bet they would be willing to sell you just the interior moulding. I doubt you would want to buy just the small trim piece used. Just taking it off may damage it.
