Appearantly Nissan is finally ready to acknowledge there is a problem with the power valves in the intake manifold. The screws are and have been falling off the intake butterflies for some time now. I have lost count of how many intakes I have replaced due to this. The screws take a fun ride through the cyls beating the hell out of the spark plug and ending up in the cat somewhere. Get to go fishing every time this happens. Anyhow Nissan is releasing a campaign to inspect and repair the vehicles effected. The campaign will be released on Aug 8th. Parts are limited at this point but will become more readily available as PDC's are supplied by the manufaturer.

That's awesome.

I can't even begin to count the number of times I've read the horror stories of QRs eating buttefly screws.

I'm glad to hear that Nissan is acknowledging it.

So Nissan is replacing QR intake butterflies, or are they loctiting them?

Dont know havent got the details yet. but it will only apply to 04 models. Even though I have done them clear back to 02, dont know why nissan is limiting their repair to only 04.
