wont turn over.

I just finished puttin the k motors sub harness on my manually converted SR (sub harness came off a single cam auto k motor) everything seems to be hooked up correct but it wont turn over. When i turn the key i can just here i tick like a relay or somethin. what am i overlooking or doin wrong. I did the auto to manual swap just tike the stikey thread showed. ???????????????????????????????????????????

oh and my taillights stay on whenever the battery is hooked up, whats up with that

did you close the clutch interlock circuit?

a tick when you try to start the car is a shot starter...taillights staying on when the battery is connected is either the wiring or the switch under you brake pedal that engages to turn on the brake lights being stuck.

did you check the button thing under the clutch, i forget wut its called i think its the clutch relay or something... are you sure everything's connected to the starter? i had the same problem a couple months ago and i was an idiot and tested the starter wrong, thought it was done, and spent 150$ on a new one, just to find out there was a little flap where something is suposed to connect to... but if you need a starter i have that spare one lol

can u push start it?

No the tick isnt the starter, its not a repetitive ticking its just one tick when i try to turn it over. Whats the clutch interlock switch? My brake lights dont stay on only the parking lights????????????? Im ready to drive this ***** please help.

its a switch under your clutch pedel, so you when press on the pedel u can turn the starter. check under ur clutch pedal

its easier to just jump it at the fuse box under your hood.

check the writeup at heavy throttle for directions.

I'm curious too about the brake lights. I'm just finally finishing my swap and I just noticed mine were on while I was checking all of the accesories when nothing else was on. No parking lights, nothing was on.

Oh and mine is an s14, but i'm sure that it is the same idea as the s13.
