So like the title says it wont start without starting fluid. i need to dump ALOT of starting fluid into the filter just to get it to start. when it starts up sometimes it will rev to like 3k but die out even when i put my foot on the gas, i noticed its really hard to start when at full operating temp, and really hard to start when super cold, i noticed that when i put a jumper wire to the EGI pump between the two prongs to bypass the ECU it will start up easier that with the regualar relay. im thinking its an ECU related but im here to see what you guys think, anyway i fore sure have the fuel lines in the right locations, i took out the spark plugs and they were very black, so i gapped them down to .26, i also noticed that if i hit the gas a very small amount it will hesitate and sometimes completely die. also at full operating temp it idles at like 500 but goes down to 400 and picks itself back up causing the car to vibrate alot. I also just replaced the old gas with new 93 octane. ill see if i can post up a video that i recorded today, what are your thoughts on this?

oh shoot it looks line i might need to wire up an orange wire of some sort to my bypassed switch? does anyone know where this so called orange wire is? btw i bypassed the starter to a button because under the dash there is a ton of wiring for an aftermarket security system from the early 2000's that wouldnt allow it to crank over

Just watching your videos, I wonder about 3 things. TPS, IAC Valve and MAF. Have you checked/cleaned/inspected/tested those 3 items? Is it a bone stock swap? Stock ECU, Stock MAF etc?

Sorry for the extremely LATE response, timing would definitely cause a very hard start issue. Did you get it fixed?
