Wont start when hot??

Hey all,

I have a 91 240 coupe with an sr. The sr ran perfect until i pulled it to paint the bay. Now it does not start when hot. Any help will be very much appreciated.

Issue:Cold start is fineAfter 20-30 mins Idle, turn off then try to start and it wont startChecked for spark and no spark (At time of problem)Checked for grounds and all "seem fine"Checked ECU for proper connectionBefore i pulled sr the temp gauge worked, now it does notCar cools for 4-5 hours, starts fine

does that vehicle ever cut off on you after it gets hot? or is this only a starting issue?

check ur temp sensor.

replace or clean your o2 sensor.

Thanks for the replies, i didnt get an email notification on replies...I will definatley try the coolant sensor. Will that cause it to not give spark? Is that an expensive part?

A coolant temp sensor from Autozone will cost you $20 bucks give or take.
