looking at a wiring diagram for your engine....

zerothread/251576

the temp sender and the crank angle sensor wiring are just a few pins apart on the connector for the ECU.

First I would look for bent or pushed-in pins on the ECU connector.

Next I would look at the electrical components that either get the hottest or have to work the hardest: this would be the ignition coil, the power transistor, and the crank angle sensor.

When hot, cracked solder connections open up, and cracked insulation opens up. Maybe the jarring of dropping the engine back in cracked something. To help to spot thermally-faulty components, a can of freeze-spray is very useful. You basically cool the part down to about -50F and keep spraying it to keep it cool.

I wouldn't rule out cracked solder connections on the ECU itself, either....

The temp sender not working tells me it's at the ECU connector or something related to the ground side of things...

I could be totally, completely wrong.........

I too have the same problem but when I pulled the plugs it is flooded to all hell If I give it throttle alittle it starts eventualy I it only does it when hot but if it sits like an hour it usualy starts right up my best guess is the injector has a leek or bad o ring and its getting too much fuel. Im still working on the problem so I let you know
