First of all thanks for checking out my problem...Anyway I did searchs but nothing about blowing fuses. Just new starter and etc.

The 240SX wont start. I replace the Battery, Starter, Spark plugs and wires.

Everything lights up inside the car. Everything looks like it works... Except it wont crank.

When i try to crank it clicks once. Sometime it looks like it wants to turn over but that only happen really short.

Each time I crank it the fuse for the fuel pump blows out.

The car is 1989 240SX 5 speed.

I read one topic about a fuel pump but i dont know...im a newbie... thanks for you time and help.

*I did a search for wont start now im doing a search for blown fuse..*

did you replace the fuel pump recently? Something is shorting out your fuel pump and now you gotta find the lil bastard that's causing it.

Do you have a multimeter?

did the car start up ok before it blew out (hence the need for a new starter)?

the starter is just a motor. it only needs ground and 12v+ to start. it has constant ground and gets 12v+ when you turn ignition key to start. there is a relay by battery that interrupts 12v+ going to battery but that is how simple the circuit is.Unplug the connector at the starter and check to see if 12v+ is getting there when you turn key to start. make sure battery cables are tight.
