no no noyour ignition timing should be at the next to last mark for the DOHC KA. line up the marks then align the distributor with the dot on the gear, then slide it in. should be perfect.plane16j wrote:thanks everyone!!! i found the problem!!I kept putting the crank/pully & dizzy on tdc but the engine kept barly idling and dieing.
so even though it was @ tdc it for some reason it wasnt "true" its kinda off for some reason. maybe the cams jumped a tooth or somthing (i have a raddling timing chain), causing tdc to be off...anyways it runs now thanks abunch....next job is to replace timing chains
