wont rev or 3400rpms please help

ok so i have a 92 ka24de and i put a new head gasket on it and it starts and idles but it wont rev over 3400 rpms any idea's whats wrong ??

did you remember to hook up the mass air flow sensor, and the ground for the injector harness at the front of the head?

sounds like your timing is off one tooth, either on the cam/crank, or on the oil pump/distributer drive spinlde
