wont past 2k rpm

hey guys i own a ca18det in a 89 240sx the car has been running fine for a few months....came home one day turned off the car went to start it back later..it started but wouldnt rev past 2krpm idles very rought too when you step on the throttle it dies completely.....i suspected the maf sensor so i got a new one...no difference problem still there someone help i dont know what to do

you should do a compression test i had the same problem with my car and found no pressure in the 4th cylinder so a stuck valve most likely or maybe worse like a broke valve or blown piston i would just check the compression before you do anything else

if it will not rev over 2k it is probably the MAF (mass air flow)

i did that i put on a new maf and still same problem....dont know what to do
