OK, I just swapped in my DOHC into my 89 S13 and it wouldn't idle. i soon found out that when i unwired my electric fan it idled fine. I have the dual sentra electric fans. I had my fan wired to the fuel pump fuse in the engine bay. The car idles and revs fine now, but as soon as I put it on the fuse it blows it (or if i put it on the hot side it just studders and misses). I am getting 13.5-14 volts everywhere, so the battery is OK, but i have know idea why it would do this. Anybody have any ideas.

**** like that is why I disregard anyone saying to jump off the fuel pump fuse. I tried and my car would diesel on for a bit under 30 seconds.

get a fuse/relay from the auto store. Run your relay wiring and then a fuse. after you have a solid(seperate) power source then wire the fan up. temp sensor or toggle it and your done. IMHO you dont EVAR WANNA stress the fuel pump power source.... but wtf do I know . alot of the guys here run like you tried, without issues.
