Wonky idle

I just got this SE-R, and everything seems to run fine, but it seems a little sluggish in the low end (I'm used to a VG30 tho....) and the idle isn't very stable. It seems to rise and fall from 500 rpms with occasional stability up around 700.

Think this could be a vacuum leak or possibly something else?

yes it could be vacuum. Have you inspected all the items for wear that are involved in the general tuneup yet?

Spark plugs, dizzy, oil,

throttle cable tight?

TPS?

I can give more and more suggestions if you want.
