just had a ka24e rebulit......just wondering why is that my oil is so dark after just a few hundred miles.......on my third oil change already and only a little over 1000 miles....plz let me know what it can be...... thanx

oil turns dark when its in the engine, its just a fact of life, don't loose sleep over it, just get it changed every 3k and you will be fine.

Addtional information:The first oil change or two after a rebuild MAY look a little differant than what you are used to. This is due to the residue from the re-work of the block and assorted metal parts is cleaned out. Perfectly normal. That is one reasions you change the oil at 500 miles or so after a rebuild.
