So I was browsing my local craigslist and happen to come upon this http://minneapolis.craigslist.....html

He's asking over 3 grand for it, but I was wondering if you guys thought that was too much. If it seems like a fair deal I may take it, I will offer him $2500 for it and see if it will happen. Unless you guys think it's not worth it.

I am not a fan of brown interior AT ALL, that would be a big turn off for me. Does it have power windows, locks, etc..? That would be something to think about aside from the mechanical condition, body, etc.

I sent them an email asking about power locks and such.

The color doesn't matter much to me, I am interesting in it mostly because of the unmolestation. It's so hard to find one unmolested, let alone a RUST FREE unmolested car in MN. I may take out a loan to pick it up I want to check it out next week sometime (spring break from college)

I also asked for more pictures, so if I get them I'll let you guys know. I am tempted to get it, I just wanted to know the opinions here. If it is power locks and windows should I try and talk him down some? See if maybe he would take $2750 for it? It just seems like a way too good to be too so I kind of want to jump on this opportunity

you dont want powerlocks. they always lock you out and suck a**. mine always twitch n go crazy. Id rather have manual locks and windows. weighs less. off the guy 2000 and work your way up to what you want to spend.

I just went through an ordeal with a delusional person selling a 240sx. It was black and rust free but had 218,000 miles on it, no back seats and mauled brown leather interior. They were asking 2600. I offered 1600, they said no and I walked.

Don't buy it if you don't think its worth what they want.

i wouldnt pay 2k for that. brown and base model, man you cant win either way. i would wait, i seriously doubt they will come down to 2k, if they think its worth 3100 FIRM. dont waste your time, you are paying a sentimental fee.

Buy it, I had all blue interior but switched it all to black. It's not hard, just time consuming.

LOL, are you seriously thinking about paying close to $3k for that? It does look very clean and it is a base model but come on...

I've honestly seen immaculate bodies with an sr underneath the hood for the same price.

I wasn't seriously considering it, I've just been browsing some. It's so hard to find a decent 240 in MN that doesn't have rust and hasn't been modified. I emailed him and got a response back, it's all manual (windows, locks) so that's a plus for me at least. He said 2750 would be decent he could take that not any lower... it's my dream car, do I want to pay 3k for it... no... but I'm keeping it in the list of ones I might settle for if nothing better comes along.

I won't be getting one for another couple months, it's just nice to look around ya know?

Yeah thats clean but i found mine in IN and it has no rust. I am from WI so i know how hard it is to find a clean 240! Mine had 257k miles on it but is an SE with Super HICAS. I paid 2300! I got bent but oh well! I pulled the HICAS out and put in an RB so i should have just found a shell!!!

Got any 240's in your area that are worth anything? I'm still debating. If the car is still around come May I will take it.

Not really. It sucks finding a clean s13 is next to impossiable and finding a s14 is just hard! I am looking for a s14 shell right now but i cant find one anywhere close for a good price!
