Could you be any more vague?

Well, you've come to a 240sx board.... and asked if you should buy a 240..... I think most of us would say yes.... as most of us love our cars!

In all seriousness, they are pretty reliable.. they have nearly unlimited potential and great styling. But it really boils down to what YOU are looking for in a vehicle. Maybe tell us a little about what you want from the car, what you plan to do with it, if you plan on building it up.... etc. etc. Then someone could give you more direct advice. What year 240sx are you looking for?

You should buy a 5.0 mustang. Not only do you get HORRIBLE gas mileage, but it handles like a bus!

You guys are brutal! I had the same reaction at first... but it really is a good car, and we shouldn't be so quick to judge this guy!

I think that the 240 is a great car. How many other cars do you see with 250,000+ miles on the body. Not many. Also has great handling potential.

i guess i couldve given more info

i want a cheap project car with good potential to turn into a mean street machine and i cant stand anything bigger than a 6-cyl motor. are the parts expensive compared to my mx-6 orwould i be better off getting a 240sx?

i prefer road racing to drag so handeling is definately important and the rwd aspect has me insanely curious.

The parts for a 240sx are probably going to be in the sme price range as the mx-6, but you can get a nice 240 for less. Also, 240s hae much more potential, especially on the track. Plus, it looks tons better IMO.

Check the paper, ebay, might even find one here somewhere. You're only limited by how far you're willing to go to get one.

GoR:

Welcome to our club!:D

As for the 240SX everyone here is enthusiastic about them. This is after all the 240SX.org section of NICO (nissaninfinitiownersclub).

Many PPL buy them for they tuning potential, low price and balanced handling in a stylish package.

Hard to beat for the money, but it's not just that it's almost a bit of a cult car these days.

I am not a 240SX owner (Infiniti section of our boards) but I posted anyway, just to give you a bit of a generalized outsiders perspective.

Fred....:)
