So, I have both an hatch and a 'vert, and they both have a similar problem. If it is raining out, and the window is cracked, tons (and I mean tons) of water comes in! So, I got the OEM Nissan rainguards for my hatch, and those totally fixed my problem!

So, I am wondering if anyone has come up with something like those for the vert? I have a couple of ideas in mind that I am going to try out when its >30 degrees out, but just seeing if anyone else came up with anything.

The folding top makes that just about impossible.

To accomplish this you would need to design a whole new top that overhangs the window. Nothing you can add to the stock top is going to do this.

If I had to guess, I'd say smoking is the #1 cause of rolling windows down while raining.

#2 - HVAC doesn't work well and you need some airflow to keep your windows clear when it's raining.

Well, both #1 and #2 apply to me, but #3 though

I have a few ideas on how to do, can't wait for spring! BTW, it wouldn't take a new top design, just some engineering

the overhang whatever peice would just get crushed when the top is folded all the way down. theres not much space between the side of the tap and the edge of the car when the top is down. unless youre never going to put your top down.....

id make a DIY project out of it and self manufacture a flexible very soft plastic/rubber window guard to mount on the top and have it fold with the top as it goes down.....then again i might be the only one with that kinda time..good luk

ROFL!!!

I went from coupe -> vert. One of the things I missed the most was my rain guards. After my buddies got rain guards for their hatches, I was like "Hey, you guys think we can rig one for my vert?" hahahaha. They make fun of me all the time for that, so yes, others have thought of it.

However, It would most likely look weird & out of place, haha. I guess if you really want though, you can probably make a multi-piece rain guard that overlaps in the correct positions so that rain doesn't leak through.

Anyway, if it's raining & I want fresh air I just turn on the a/c.

The simplest solution is to drive one of your other cars when it's raining.

Well, it looks like both of my ideas are sharred by others, so they can't be too bad! I was either going to do it as a tri-piece or very flexible 1 piece system, most likely as a half pipe kind of idea that fits in the gap/overlap between the top fabric itself and the frame on the sides of the windows.

I don't this it would need to be too big (ie stick out too much), just provide a channel/gutter from the front of the window to the back quarter window. If I do make something, I will def. do it as DIY.
