im almost done with my build, should be ready by may hopefully for when the track here opens. im curious to see what it might run in the 1/4 mile strip. anyone wanna take a guess? whoevers closest wins a cookie!!!

my build includes: 1994 240sx Convertible

ignition: msd SCI-L, blaster 2 coil pack, colder plugs with new wires, new cap and rotor

drivetrain: alum. one piece driveshaft, alum. flywheel, oem clutch (brand new though), SS clutch lines, stock transmission, stock master/slave, stock shifter

suspension: kyb agx, tein s tech, front strut bar

turbo/fuel: t3/t4 50 trim, FMIC 2.5", BOV, 38mm external wastegate, bottom mount mani, 370cc injectors, walbro 255lph hi flow pump, z32tt maf, z32tt fuel filter, zeitronix wideband, manual boost controller, 3" downpipe, SAFCII, enthalpy ECU

exhaust: 2.5" straightpipe, 18" resonator, 2.5"in/dual 2.5" out turbo muffler. no cat.

random other stuff: underdrive crank pulley, underdrive throttle body pulley, brembo slotted rotors in front, drilled in rear, EBC green stuff pads in front, cheap ones in rear

i might be forgetting somethin, i'm shot. but im getting the enthalpy ecu tuned to incorporate everything. should be decently quick, but i've never built one of these before and no one around here has a ka-t, in fact 240's that arent stock are rare to even see and when you do usually its an sr20 powered hatch.

i'll post a time slip as soon as i get one but lets start takin some educated guesses heh. i truly have no idea what it might run, that's why i'm asking you guys. Thanks!!

13.6 would be nice. im just not sure how high i can boost it. i figured i'd just keep turnin it up a lil before each run and watch the afr's, but i don't know what to tell enthalpy. that's half the reason i still have my safcII aqnd didnt sell it. i might just tell enthalpy to tune for 8psi and then if i ever turn up the boost i have my safcII and wideband to ensure safety. but like i said, i've never done this before so this is all new to me and im not even sure if i'd be goin about it the right way with that.

my guess was 14.3 @ 8psi before you posted, lets see who's closer heh

i wanna make an 8psi run, which is gonna be my daily setting obviously, and then whatever my max safe boost might be, maybe 10psi? 11? hopefully that can get me closer to 13.6.

If you have an enthalpy tune your tune is good till the limit of pump gas. Enthalpy doesnt tune your car for 8 psi then stop, he gives you a full tune. I ran 20 psi on pump gas on an enthalpy tune and it held fine. No, i dont recommend you running 20 psi on pump gas.

you have a posi in the rear? that would help out a lot. and i think you could go on 10 psi no problem. and pull a mid 13 or so. have fun!!

yeah, like i said im not sure exactly how the tuning works, but you just gave me a sigh of relief. and yes, i use pump gas, 93 octane at all times, even on my stock n/a setup.

as far as an lsd goes, i do plan on getting an hlsd in there, prob from an s15. but i wont have it in by the time the track opens, in fact i might not be done with this build til a few weeks into it. but hopefully by july i'll the lsd in there. i wanted to wait til i also get a master bushing kit and maybe some pineapple polyurethane bushings. my brothers getting married and i have to throw a bachelor party and all kinds of stuff, which means not only lost time from work, but also i have to spend a buncha money on stuff i.e. the tux, the hotel room near the wedding hall......and the strippers for the bachelor party

but yeah, the wedding is giving me a minor set back on funds. so my goal right now is to finish by the end of may, which can easily turn into the end of june if i cant stop myself from goin too crazy at the bar every now and then. that place eats your money before you even realize it lol

the only stuff i still gotta get are the wideband, the ecu, walbro pump, oil lines, and the driveshaft i've yet to order. i might get some new motor mounts and transmission mount while im at it, might as well. and i havent decided if itd be better to just buy the kit to relocate my battery to my trunk, or just make a make a mount and a box for my trunk and custom wiring. i'll prob just spend the $100 and save myself from the headaches. unfortunately my fmic piping is forcing that part.

on a good day. 13.20 @ 105 as long as you get your 60ft down. if you can stick >2.0 you will be good.

OEM clutch isn't gonna hold anything over 7-8psi horsepower levels if you're doing full drag launches with it, probably less than that really.
