hey guys, having a problem with my 240 not starting.. it was running fine about a month ago then i left to work out west and now it won't start. when i turn the ignition to 'on' i still hear the fuel pump but when i try to start it, i hear a clicking/winding sound and the rpm goes nuts (bounces around at 8000) but the engine doesn't turn.. i checked the battery and even tried boosting the car but that didn't help. i also checked the wiring harness grounds and they're fine too. whats frustrating is that i was driving it a month ago and it was fine; i hadn't changed anything and now it doesn't want to start.. i just did an engine swap (ka to ka) in april by the way, and it did drive fine when i started it up. i was thinking it could be something with the ignition but i don't know enough about how the ignition works.. any ideas??

you dont have a dead battery? 12v to it? +1 for bad starter

the battery is fine, i even tried boosting the car. i'm gonna do a voltage check on the battery with the car off, and when i turn the ignition. i'll let you guys know what happens.

I was also thinking it could be your alternator but since you have full voltage going to your battery the alternator cannot be the problem since the alternator charges the battery...starter ftw
