Well, I disconnected the wiring harness to take it into a shop but after taking it apart, I decided that I would give the ECT replacement a try. I connected everything back together but the car doesn't want to even turn over. If I try to start the car, I just get one click and thats it. I know that it's not my starter or anything either. Btw, according to my SAFC, I have about 11.5 volts of battery.

Another thing, I forgot to disconnect the battery when putting the harness back together, and I'm guessing that could have caused some fuses to go bad. After looking around in the engine bay and checking the fuses, I noticed that the AAC one began to get very hot (but none of the other fuses did). What should I do? (Btw, all of my electronics come on).

Everything is grounded properly. We only disconnected one ground wire, and put it back into the exact same place.

If someone in the WA area knows what they are doing, I am willing to pay well to get my car running again.

BTW, could I have blown something while putting the harness back on?

battery voltage is too low to even kick the car over, you need a new battery.

At 11.5 volts he should be okUnless you have a whole bunch of crap on while trying to start it but votage would drop.I've tried to start my car with a little dinky sea doo battery at 10.9volts, it was really really slow but it cranked

I just ran into the garage and the SAFC is reporting 11.3 volts. I've been playing the radio every single time that I work on the car so that might have had some effect... I'm guessing though that the car should still turn over, although it won't start.

Btw, when I attempt to start the car, the battery voltage doesn't dip, it just stays at 11.3 volts.

It's not the battery. They charged the battery to 12.1 volts and it still won't start. I just get 1 click and thats it.

12.1 is still low.

12.45 is fully charged.

did you have them load test the battery?

Yes, it started reading around 10.6 volts and fluctuated. I'm not sure what that means, but he said that everything was fine.

So I have to get a new battery? Everything works fine on the car, it's just that it won't turn over :...(. I'll check over everything for the fourth time and see what's up.

Double check your power and grounds... Make sure all bolts are tightened down (not just by hand) Make sure the terminal is tightened down also. Get yourself a jumper pack also. For $60 its worth every penny...

Everything was screwed in correctly. Btw, is there a chance that a fuse blew due to not disconnecting the battery?

even if a fuse blew it would not affect the starter. The starter gets direct power from the battery(The thick B/R wire from the battery terminal goes directly to the starter. The starter is then grounded through its casing(so if your engine block is not grounded properly it will not turn over) Lastly there is one black yellow wire that goes from the starter solenoid all the way to your ignition...

Besides if your getting one click and then nothing, its a sign of either low power or bad ground. If you don't even get a click, then it mean NO power or NO ground.

I get one click coming from two of the fuses (occurs at the same time). One seems to be coming from the ACC fuse, however, it could be the foglight bottom half (doesn't have a fuse on the top part). The other comes from the main relay?!? (the main fuse, with two connectors going to it; it's also tucked under the fender bolts).

I bolted the ground correctly, and still no go . Thanks for the help, everything has been greatly appreciated.

Before I go out and purchase something, is there a way to test the fuses?

Also, I disconnected the ECU before I pulled the harness. The battery was still connected however when I did this.
