Hello everyone I'm new to the forums and having some issues with my 1990 240sx that I'm hoping some of you can help narrow down...

So when it's cool it starts up just fine and seems to run great. When I stop after driving the car for about 15+ minutes I get a strong gas smell coming from the front of the engine. If I try to start the car it won't start at all, I will simply hear it click under the hood. If I wait about 1 hour the car will startup again with no problems also the gas smell will be gone. I recently purchased the car from someone who told me he had replaced the starter not long ago and the battery looks pretty new as well. Any ideas?

Thanks!

I had the same problem. Change your Coolant Temp Sensor and you will be fine. I got mine for Advance Auto for ~$15. It should be Ok to drive with it unplugged for a short time until you get this fixed. Be careful with the harness retaining clip because it likes to get away from you.

Welcome to NICO.
