yes, it's me again, this z32 fairlady, like I said when it's running, it is the greatest thing to drive but there's just so much problem with it. the new problem, well this time it won't start. I crank it up and it'll start for about a second then dies(the first try). after the first try, then it won't start ever again, it happens all the time, I let it sit there for about 12 hours and try again the next day then same thing. I'm out of ideas now. I didn't know nissan made such a problematic car. any suggestions anybody. the starter is fine and the battery is brand new but still won't start.

I had the same problem with my old 90 Z. I took it to 3 mechanics and all of them could not get it to start. So I finally got it towed back home, got pissed off, and literally just floored it while trying to start it. Amazingly enough it finally started. Now I do not know what was wrong, and it worked fine after that.

flooring the car while cranking clear floods it. The car was dumping so much fuel into the cyl that it was extinguishing the spark since there was not enough vaporized fuel to ignite. This is usually a problem with the coolant temp sensor connection or a non functional fast idle control.

I had this problem with my 240 and it ended up being the ignition coil.
