I bought my Rogue in the summer, and am bummed about a couple of things. First, on two separate occasions, I've had problems getting it to start. Suspect computer problem, but not sure. Also, my tire pressure warning light is on, even though the tires look OK at a glance. The dealership filled them with Nitrogen (whatever!!) and swore up and down it wouldn't seep out nearly as quickly as regular air. Can't remember what the warrantee is on that tire service (3 or 6 months), but it will be a pain to take it back to the dealership where I bought it rather than the one near my work. Aarghh!!

I have also had the start issue - several times this summer. I am going to ask the dealership to look at it when I am in for my first service.

A "hard starting" problem was discussed once before. It seems it was eventually isolated to the fuel pump... and I'm assuming it was the fix since the original posted never complained about it again after the diagnosis. Here's the link"

The tire pressure is another issue. (problem associated with the Nitrogen) "if" ...you have the metal valve stem caps. Check out this thread:

Also... the tire pressure monitoring system isn't really a problem ... you just have to get your head around the system, how it works, and it's idiosyncrasies. Check out this thread:

Nissan just released a tech bulletin regarding TPMS issues. Schedule an appt with the dealer to have it checked.

NTB09101 - SB Nissan; TPMS Warning Light ON / Flashing* IF YOU CONFIRM The TPMS warning light is illuminated steady or flashing. ACTIONS STEP 1: Turn the ignition OFF and then ON (engine not running). >If the TPMS warning lamp is illuminated steady (not flashing), the TPMS is operating normally and has detected low tire pressure in one of the tires. Go to step 2. >If the TPMS warning lamp is flashing for approximately one minute, there is a TPMS system malfunction. Do not go to step 2. Instead, check the DTC and refer to the Service Manual for r epair instructions. STEP 2: Leave the ignition ON (engine not running) and set the tire pressure to the recommended pressure. See this bulletin for further information.

I have a 08 Rogue with 28,000 miles on it. It is 11 monnths old. About 3 months ago the tpms started to blink for 1 min. and then stayed on while I was driving on the highway as soon as I pulled over and came to a stop it went off. It now happens around once every week or two always on the highway and turns off as soon as I pull over and does not happen again for another week or two. The the tire pressure is always fine. I realize the blinking means a malfuction not a low tire. As it is so sporadic can the tpms be picking up some stray signal in the air rather then a true malfuntion?
