Well yesterday decided to install my Z32 MAF. went through the directions. Wired it up correctly at least I thought. It ran very rich. There was no tuning it down. Eventually it fouwled out my plugs. I did change to the Z32 hotwire. I even tried several different wiring ideas. Also what seemed weird the AFL% said 24 to 25% just sitting at idle, I thought it should be less than that. I also have the N62 Z32 MAF too. Please help. Nick

just to rule out the obvious, you changed the in/out on your afc, right?

edit: incase you didn't, I believe it's supposed to be 2in 5out.

edit 2: you beat me with your reply, heh

yea i had the same problem

those in out settings didnt work for me. on my car 2in and 6out is what works best for me. also you have to play wiht the dec. air 1 setting it makes a big difference int he idle. are you using a wideband, cuz it helps so much

Yeah I got my wideband in today and installed. I was running way to rich. I tried the 2 and 6 already after I triend to rewire it about 5 different times. I need to mess with the air dec. I tuned fuel curve the best I could with the help of a friend. He watched the A/F as I told him the RPM. Finally got it tunned down a little. At idle, my A/F fluxuate from 12.7-14.9 that is -48 correction at low throttle too. By messing withe the dec air settings will that have any effect on my current settings. I went back to using the stock maf for now. Thanks. Nick

Gotta love when a problem has an easy fix like a ground wire. I was actually going to suggest checking the grounds since your reading were so jumpy. We have the same problems with ground groups on the BlackHawks I work on. Corrosion is biatch...

Yeah, I was ready to pull my hair out and sell my car, I was that pissed off. Took me 3 hour to find out it was a bad ground after I tied about 10 different wiring combinations and tried them over again.
