hello, I'm having some issues with my 1990 automatic hatchback....

it won't rev past 5k rpm's, its like hitting a brick wall, the engine almost altogether stops making noise, then the rpm's start bogging down........

does it in 1st or 2nd..... also the higher rpm's feel slow as hell, if I have 2nd or 3rd winding out it takes forever, if u get off the throttle fully, say back down to 50% throttle... it gets faster lol

any help would be appreciated

also, bought this car from original owner, old lady... doesn't look like much maintenance has been done, maybe a headgasket or such......... the head is kinda clean, I see some sensors and brackets with bolts not back on and someone cut and crimped all the fuel injector wires back together.........

I also just changed the fuel filter, slightly clogged, and slightly brownish blackish tinted fuel was blowing out of it when I blew through it.... I thought this might have fixed the issue but it didn't, so let me know if you guys have any ideas.....

thank-you

Just do a tune up then let us know. see what kind of junk sparkplugs are in there. Then we'll got from thee. Maybe 02 sensor, knock sensor

I saw it has BOSCH wires.......

I'll have to change those out back to OEM

I will also change the plugs regardless cause I want to turbo this thing one day and I might as well start getting things going on that

I'd have the rarest KA-T setup around lol, a SOHC and an automatic at that
