What should I buy now while saving up for a SR swap that won't interfere with it or won't have to get rid of when the time comes?

suspension, drivetrain, exhaust, extra parts for the sr, wheels, tires, interior, exterior, anything that doesnt bolt onto the KA (with some acceptions).

Umm an exhaust that get for a NA KA24 would actually somewhat hinder the SRs performance.

Better brakes are a must. You'll need them to cope with the extra power provided by the SR.

Werd. Better stoppers are ALWAYS a good investment! Especially with a $1k FMIC up there!

yeah, i know that zero, but he should go ahead and get an exhaust for the sr, because riding around on stock exhaust with an sr is pretty silly eh?

yeah rice, there are. but they didnt pay all the money, and put forth all the effort to swap the motor. all i was saying was that if youre gonna get an sr swap its a good idea to go ahead and give it proper flow before, or at the time of the swap. no hostility here by the way, just trying to not look stupid, because im not stupid.

Stick to the topic please :/

Ok, I should have re-worded it better. What I meant was stuff like the brakes, having more stopping power before getting the SR so when I do get it I won't have to worry about braking an extra fifty feet, catch my drift? What do I need to get to so my car will be ready for when the SR comes.

Horsepower increase does not mean increased mass, or brake failure. It puzzles me as to why people comment that with more power, you'll now need more braking force.

It would be accurate to say that with increased power and response, that you will probably be working the car harder, showing off more, speeding more, and at greater speeds.....this would be a good excuse to upgrade brakes.

Either way, it's still kind of a no-brainer that a brake upgrade is a benefit....no matter the horsepower numbers. Power numbers do not necessarily mean a higher speed to have to slow down from. Most driving is done at or near the posted limit, so to suggest that your newfound horsepower will require greater stopping force is a sloppily concocted theory.

It doesn't work that way. Again, unless you are traveling 50mph faster in a given situation with your new engine, you won't be having problems stopping. Slowing a car means slowing the mass of the car, and has no relation to a horsepower number.

Either way, any increase in brake force and/or brake response for a reasonable cost is a good idea...no matter what engine you have under the hood.
