My 2006 path will not warm up while idling but does fine if moving. Thermostat is opening and has proper coolant level?

Although I don't know too much (and probably shouldn't be posting), I did have some questions for you that might help more experienced members make a better judgement..

1) Am I correct in assuming you've let it idle for up to 15-20 minutes, with a low RPM, and still no temperature gauge movement?
2) After moving, if you went back into an idle state (parked?), will the temperature then drop back down?
3) Is it a particularly high/low temperature?

Thermostat should stay closed until it reaches operating temperature.
If it opens early, then it will take a long time to warm up while idling.

Does it have an electric fan or mechanical one? I'm not familiar with the 2006 in that regard.

Lastly, have you ever replaced the radiator? There is a recall on those for bad rads (They can take out your transmission).
