Please help I have a 1990 240sx with the ka24e motor. The car starts fin but idles a little rough. The real problem is when you push the gas, in neutral or in gear, the rpms start going up but around 3,000 RPM the engine starts to hesitate. The farther the gas pedal starts to go down the worse it gets and the RPMs start dropping.I took it to a nissan dealership and they looked at it and told me to replace the fuel injectors and the swirl control valve. I did this and it did not fix the problem.

I am lost and need direction. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks ahead of time. Steve

you might want to search with that red flashy thing at the top. It is hard but you are probably not going to get this answer due to it has been over at least a trillion times. I'll sell you what it actually is for 200 dollars. lol

according to magikdragon .... its the maf if you had removed it and rewired it it can be your wiring or it can be that you maf is bad or dirty look at you ecu and see what codes it spits out you would have to start your car turn the little thing on the ecu with a fdlat head to open up the diagnosis then turn your car off put leave it on the on position and look at the lights they will tell you exactly whats wrong...

keep us posted on what it might be ...

I got the MAF today and installed it. It helped. The car idles alot smoother but it still has the problem. It still won't go over 3000rpm. The engine rev's up slowly and around 3000rpm it bogs down and the farther I push the pedal the worse it bogs down.

I checked the ECU after changing the MAF and it didn't give any trouble codes.

Does anyone have anymore suggestions.

Thanks Steve

my car does this a couple of times also. sometimes its related to the heat, and sometimes its just your fuel pump or fuel filter. i dont know, this was happening to me a couple of weeks ago and i replaced my fuel filter with another z32 fuel filter. it seemed to help. before i put in a new fuel filter i could probably only drive the car for 30min before it would bog as you mentioned. but now it seems to be running fine.
