Hi everyone I am new to the sight. I have a 2004 Nissan Maxima SE 3.5 and love it. I recently got some new wheels and tires. The tires are OEM size as well as the new wheels. Ever since I have changed the wheels and tires there is a wobble in the steering wheel. Not a vibration? It happens around 60 mph, give or take 10… The weird thing is it does NOT happen all the time??? I have invested in hub centric rings and made sure the balance is as good as it gets. Even thought it was the new wheels and returned them and got some different ones all together. Same problem. What else could this be???

ThanksAllen

Did you have this problem with the OEM wheels?

Just after I bought the car (used) I notice this same wobble (not as bad hardly noticeable) and thought the OEM tires needed balancing, come to find out the side walls were split. So I got new tires and wheels.

Jack up your car to see if there is any play in the front wheels. If there is you need to replace the wheel bearing. Have you tried to re-balance the new tires? When I got my new tires I had to go back 4 times for them to balance them correctly. Then after 7k miles when I had to re-balance them I was forced to do the same thing...some tires are just hard to balance. Either that or people don't know how to use the road force balance maching
