i just bought this seat, the black and grey one

http://www.first-inc.co.jp/bud....html

for 275 +35 shipping, new! i think i got a hella good deal cause the msrp is close to 600. ill do a review of it once i get it, it is made for small japanese so i hear if you have a waist size of above 30, forget it. but its side mount so it should be lower than stock (i hope) no recline, accomidates a harness (including submarine belt) and it weighs TWELVE POUNDS. not FIA homogalamatablalfkdhled though, so if you want to use it for race you have to attach it to your roll bar (big deal.) tell me what you think guys!!

i want to go with a schroth 6 point if i can find one for around 100-150 used on ebay. but if not ill just cheap out and get a simpson or somthing.

anyone know where i can get s14 sliders for this? emailed jspec, bulletproofautomotive, and raretrick, anyone know any other places i can check? the dude i bought it from said sparco side mounts will bolt to the seat, but i dont think they will bolt to the driverside of a 240 because of that crazy hump. anyone have any ideas?

eh, to each his own. a bucket seat will hold you in 200x better than any reclining stuff.

you could try corbeau sliders. they make them for all 240sx models and as far as i can see, my forza and the sparco sprint seats are identical. i think they both use side mount...though now that i think of it i really forget how i mounted mine. anyway, give them a try.

i guess my fat a$$ couldnt fit in them though. I should sue them for not making seats for 200lbs + people. They might even give me a free skinny seat to shut me up. hehe

I thought about doing that. I still have my one bride seat seating in the garage, but I'm to lazy to find my wires for the PS2 since we just moved in.:pface

took the seat like a week to get here.

im getting the buddy club rail for it.

i dunno if its as good as recaro or bride, but its a hell of a lot better than the arospeed bucket lol. it seems very high quality to me, and buddy club uses the same seat in their race cars so that is probably a good sign. it has suede patches on the bolsters, and some kind of nylon cloth somthing or other on the rest of the seat. one thing i know is its probably the lighest seat you can buy since its made out of abs plastic. this isnt exactly reassuring since this is the only seat i know of that is made out of this material, but it feels very rigid to me, dosent flex when you sit in it or anything like that. ive never heard of a composite seat breaking in a race so i dont think the seat has a terrible amount of force placed on it as long as you have a proper cage. for the record, i feel safer in this seat than i would in a steel tube or aluminum seat. i would rather have the seat distort in a collision than get the **** beat out of me by an aluminum seat that dosent budge. and it shouldnt have any stability problems as long as you do proper scca seat bracing.

let me reiterate - it is a very small seat so if you are a regular sized american guy you will not fit. gotta be skinnnny :)

also dont know if i mentioned, all the padding can be removed if you are too high in the car or somthing, or need to clean it or whatever. under the leg bolster there is a slot for a submarine belt as well, which is nice. dont get that with the lower model sparco/corbeaus.

also if anyone wanted to know, the rail cost me 188 shipped, for the left rail made specifically for this seat. i hear you can do sparco side mount rails but you loose headroom that way.

Sorry, but the bomex kit that I have have been modified to go with the flares. I do scrape too, but as long as you slow down on oncoming dips. I'm also in Cali

But I do have a Bomex kit in my other car, they fit perfect:ylsuper

The way you described the seat sounds like its the same(or better) than Bride. I might get a pair of those pretty soon while they're still cheap. A pair of buddy clubs is equivalent to just 1 Bride Zeta's:eek:
