WOAH!!!! close call here....
i went to one of my friends bday parties today. it was nice and all i guess, just got very boring. so me and a couple guys left. we decided to go look at my friends new '99 accord coupe v6. its a nice car ya know, leather, the works. well we went for a little ride. we saw another friend of mine driving by in his '96 auto integra LS. so we ask him if he wants to race. we are in a neighborhood mind you. its deserted at this point of the day anyway, so we go to this road with not very many houses on it, and they line up at the end of it. i get out of the car, cause i didn't wanna be in there, just because. so they go, and so they get up to about 30 or sumthin, dead even. well, they are going upwards a little bit, and at the top of the hill, here comes this cop. i see it and my heart falls to the ground. so at the exact same time, my two buddies slam on the brakes and pull into the closest driveways they can. they just sit there. dont' get out of the car, dont do anything. the cop comes down the road a lil and just stops and sits there. i walk up there, and he says to me "you better tell you friends its not very smart to be doing that around here. i'm around here and the dam time even when i'm not workin. tell them if they wanna race, go out to the county and they can race all they want. but don't do it here in the city. its just to dangerous." i say "yessir they were jsut bein real stupid and stuff. i'll tell them, thanks alot sir." he laughs and drives off. i go up to my friend in the accord, and i see him peek out the door as he opens it a little bit. i told him what the cop said, and the look of relief on his face was the funniiest thing i have ever seen. i go tell my integra friend, and he about kissed me i think. this is yet another time where my and my friends stupidity has been proven. we are now convinced that we are the unluckiest, and in some ways the luckiest, people in the world. we have slowed down also, by the way.

HAHAHA BEN WAS THE STARTER GIRL!! AHAHAHAHAHA(Ben, thats robbie's job!) BTW...nice job with the driveway thing...good thinkin in the clutch! and Ben, way to be polite to the cop! i heard a guy in an old mr2 the other day tell the cop that pulled him over "u are diseased or something cuz i wasnt racing, i was only goin 110 to break in the new tires dumass. U have to break them in and u should know that." hahaha, good times, good times.

The cop told you to take it to the country? Why, so it can be the sheriff's problem then? I think that was stupid of the cop to passively condone illegal street racing.
And yes Repoman, I know I am a hypocrite for driving my Altima at 120mph out in Cass County. I just think cops are dumba$$es sometimes. They don’t follow the laws they enforce and do not render sound advice.

Ben, thats just plain gross.... u cant get protein stains out of leather very easy! haha j/k anyways, u were really lucky... last night a friend (chick) was riding with two guys in a civic and they decided to race a crx... mind u the grass is still covered with snow and the roads are wet from melting snow...anyways they got about 120 and a turn came up that the dude wasnt expecting...slid sideways...hit the curb...hopped it and took out a sign and then spun two times facing upcoming traffic... then they limped it over on a side street...the crx jetted off... when they got out gasoline was everywhere, the rear bumper body/kit was torn off, the wing/spoiler (GTR type), the front bumper/bodykit, the tails, scuff marks all over the side... the rear wheel was folded under the car really far...it broke the lug nuts right off the wheel...the rear lower control arm was torn from the body..tearing the bushing and braket holding it to the frame...and a slew of other things bent or broken..front wheel was folded in some...when he opened the trunk, the gas tank was bulging up into it...the chassis/frame was definately bent big time...they werent wearing their seatbelts and SURPRISINGLY, no1 was hurt..the driver was a really nice asian dude, about 21-22 yrs she said, i met him then for the first time (we had to go pick up our chick friend) anyways......this guy wasnt goin to tell insurance and is gonna pay for the repairs out of pocket....i told him itd be way cheaper to salvage wat he can...sell it to a junk yard and get another...anyways, just wanted to share that...

I'll share a story not really involving imports, but it's still pretty cool.Friends of mine are out in their Mustang, cruising some back roads 120+mph when out of nowhere they come up on a cop in a Camaro, he of course, runs them down, and pulls up alongside of 'em. Rolls down the window and says with a grin, "I can either give you a ticket right here and now, or we can race."HM? We'll take the racing option(DUH!!!!!!!!!)So they line up and go at it pretty even up to 5th gear, until the cop pulls alongside, holds up 4 fingers to show that he's still in 4th and is pulling on 'em, drops it into 5th and is gone. Lesson learned, the cops will run you down and kick your arse, unless you've got a really good sportbike and you can really ride.

it was the only place around that neighborhood that was deserted and not full of houses. do you seriously think they woulda raced uphill if they could have helped it? themonarch, the only reason i walked up to the cop car is cause he told me to. do you also think i really wanted to walk up and start a conversation with the cop? heck no.
