With alloy wheels in the cold canadian winter

I heard that the alloy aluminum rims can easily get damaged from the cold because the aluminum becomes fragile. Is that mean that changing the alloy wheels with a regular metal ones is recommended?

that is the stupidest thing ive ever heard, who ever told you that doesnt know what they are talking about.
